Guwahati, Feb. 13 (PTI) Assam government will provide employment to over one lakh people across various departments in the future, the state Assembly was told today. Presenting the 2014-15 interim budget, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said, "I have asked all the departments to provide appointments against all available vacancies numbering around 1,00,927 in a time-bound manner." Since 2005-06, the government has created 1,15,439 new posts, of which 20,692 have been created during the current financial year, he added.
