As many as 42 teachers recruited as education providers have been booked under various sections following their protest in the grain market here on Sunday. The teachers, who were arrested following their protest during which police used water cannons and force to control
them, were released on bail from Kotwali police station on Monday. They have been booked under Sections 186 (for obstructing a government servant to do his duty), 353 (use of criminal force to obstruct government official from doing his duty) and 283 (for blocking road) of the IPC.
