Chandigarh, January 6: For the first time in Punjab positions of Senior Residents in Government Medical College, Patiala & Amritsar have been opened up for fresh Post Graduate students. Disclosing this here today, Anil Joshi, Medical Education and Research Minister said that
Government has issued a notification indicating the terms & conditions for selection of Senior Residents wherein in-addition to the doctors from the PCMS Cadre, those post graduates under five years contract with State Government, contractual doctors under NRHM and doctors from other departments like Rural Development and freshly passed out post graduates are eligible to apply for Senior Residency in about 15 super specialties and 41 specialties. These are 466 positions of Senior Residents in Govt. Medical College, Amritsar and Patiala.
Interested applicants can apply online on www.pbhealth.gov.in and www.punjabmedicaleducation.org. The last date for receiving online applications is January 17, 2014. This is a wonderful opportunity for fresh Post Graduates from the State of Punjab & other neighboring states to apply for Senior Residency in Govt. Medical Colleges Amritsar & Patiala.
