PSEB job scam: Next hearing on November 13

The local court may pronounce its verdict in the scam involving recruitment of 134 clerks and 60 helpers in Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) in which former Punjab Education Minister Tota Singh is one of the accused.

Though the pronouncement was expected on Wednesday but the court deferred the hearing till November 13. Tota Singh appeared in the court on Wednesday.

The arguments have been concluded in the case and the pronouncement is awaited. But now it is expected on December 13.

A Vigilance Bureau (VB) official said the arguments have concluded and now the pronouncement is awaited in the next hearing of the case.

It is notable here that Tota Singh along with PSEB officials, Pavitter Kaur, the then Joint Secretary of PSEB and former secretaries Tirath Singh, Amar Singh and Jahjit Singh, was booked by the VB after irregularities were found in the recruitment of 134 clerks and 60 helpers in the PSEB during the tenure (1997 to 2002) of SAD-BJP government.
