The TRB conducted a test last year to fill up 2,895 vacancies for postgraduate assistants in various subjects. Aruna applied for the postgraduate assistant post in commerce.

Twenty per cent of seats should be given to candidates who studied in Tamil medium, according to the government order dated September 30, 2010.
