Dhindsa: Govt to release arrears of employees

Kapurthala: The financial health of the state since the last six months has been improving claimed Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa on Friday. The FM was city to address a gathering. Dhindsa also attended a prize distribution function organised at Shri Harkrishan Public School. Former Finance Minister Upinderjit Kaur, Kapurthala DC Daljit Singh Mangat and SGPC member Gurpreet Kaur were among those present there. Dhindsa said that with the continuous rise in the state income, Punjab government will very soon release an amount of Rs 1,000 crore as 30 per cent of the pending arrears of state
government employees. Dhindsa also said that the SAD-BJP-led government is never short of funds for launching developmental projects across the state. Dhindsa also said that a sum of Rs 10 crore will be released to complete the project of Multi Discipline Academy at Jabbowal. Remebering Atma Singh, Dhindsa praised him for his contribution not only in the field of politics but also in the field of social sciences. Dhindsa also encouraged students to participate in other co-curricular activities besides their academic schedule for their overall development to face challenges. He also congratulated the school management for providing quality education to students of the area. School principal Jasbir Wadhwa thanked the guests.
