The supplementary examinations for undergraduate classes of Panjab University (PU) are all set to kick off from October 12.
A PU official spokesman on Tuesday said the roll number of students appearing in BA, BSc (general/microbial and food technology), BCom/BCA/BBA-1, 2 and 3 supplementary examinations had been dispatched through registered post.
PU controller of examination Parvinder Singh said the roll numbers had also been put on the university website (pu.ac.in) for the convenience of the candidates.
“The students who have not yet received their roll numbers may download it from the PU website, but it will be valid for only one paper,” said the spokesman, adding that for the second paper, the candidate would have to visit the PU's examination branch with one photograph to get their roll number along.
Meanwhile, the university directed to the principal-cum-chief coordinators and the centre superintendents to allow such cases only after proper verification of identity proof along with the attested photograph.
The university has also put a list of defaulters on its website. The defaulter candidates would have to deposit the required documents with the concerned official of the examination branch at the university before the commencement of examination for obtaining their roll number, the university said.
