Punjab starts recruitment process for 1428 teachers : Maluka

CHANDIGARH: The Teachers Recruitment Board Punjab (TRBP) has started the process for recruitment of one thousand four hundred and eighteen teachers across the state.

Disclosing this here today Education Minister Punjab Sikander Singh Maluka said the Punjab Government has committed to provide quality education to every child, to meet this target Government has already demanded the details of vacant posts in the schools. He said that the Teachers Recruitment Board Punjab has started the recruitment process of 1428 teachers in model schools, Adarsh Schools and the Rashtriya Madhmik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) in the state.


Giving details about the whole process, the Minister said that 264 Head Masters, 764 Subject Teachers would be recruited under RMSA, whereas posts of 10 Principals and 205 subject wise PGT lecturers to be filled in model schools. Besides that 127 TGTs would also be selected for model schools. For Adarsh Schools Punjab is all set to fulfill posts of 38 subject wise lectures and 20 TGT teachers, he added.

The Education Minister said that to cope with the shortage of teaches and maintain education standard in government schools across the state, vacant posts of selecting professionals teaches would be filled shortly to impart the quality education.
