Ferozepur 3 October : In an important meeting of Education Providers Union decided to sit on dharna indefinitely on October 5 at Kharar to register their protest against the genuine demands.
Giving this information Jasbir Singh District President said, “The demands incude regularization of education providers and
to increase the wages of Rs.5238 as per the instruction received from the Union government, as per the memorandum submitted to all the Deputy Commissioners in the state but action seems to have been initiated by the government to solve this problem”.
He further said, “The Union has decided to sit on dharna indefinitely from October 5 at Kharar apart from finalization of arrangements for rallies at block level. In the dharana, the teachers with their family members along with representatives of supporting unions will participate”.
In the meeting, Gurjant Singh, Avtar Singh, Anwar, Gurjinder Singh, Raman Kumar and other teachers were present.
