BEd teachers stage dharna

implementation of their long-pending demands, the members of B.Ed Teachers Front, Punjab, staged a dharna outside the DC office here today. Harwinder Singh Bilga, district president, said if the government did not withdraw the clubbing of schools, which is being done in illegal manner, then all unions will get together under one platform to oppose government's move. Jassowal, vice- president of the front said those teachers who were confirmed on April 1, 2011, must be regularised by the government. Besides, the installments of DA must be released to all the employees.
Teachers said government was not in any mood to listen to their grievances. The agitating B.Ed teachers said the promotions should be given as per seniority.
