DEOs asked to maintain Edusat kits

The society has listed problems related to equipment, including mishandling, misuse or excessive use or taking no emphasis to clean the equipment

DP Correspondent Jalandhar Taking a serious note of the deteriorating condition of Edusat equipment in government schools, the Punjab Edusat Society has passed strict instructions to the District Education Officers (DEOs) to keep a check on their maintenance. Edusat officials have also instructed the head teachers and employees in the schools to maintain proper records of the equipment available in the schools.
The Punjab Edusat Society has also listed the problems related to the equipment, including mishandling, misuse or excessive use or taking no emphasis to clean the equipment. It has also presented the problems and solutions. A teacher of the government school in Basti Sheikh, Ramita Sharma, said, “The Society has presented the solutions with the problems in the instructions. These would help us to deal with the problems immediately and in a better way.” The Society has also provided a complaint redressal number: 1800-3000-2050. A government school teacher in Kishan Pura, Balwinder Kaur, said, “This number would be entertained within five days of the complaint. This would help in eliminating the problems and provide us better services at the time of the equipment not being functional.” District Education Officer (Secondary) Neelam Kumari said, “The Punjab Edusat Society has given these instructions after witnessing the large number of complaints in recent days.”
