Punjab Government has started the process of transferring the Male Teachers from "Girls" Govt schools

Chandigarh, January 29: Punjab Government has started the process of transferring the Male Teachers from "Girls" Govt schools. According to DPI (Secondary) the Education department has issued the list of 411 "Male Teachers" of different districts in Punjab who will now teach in Boys and co-ed Govt. Schools. The
department has appointed "Female teachers" in 411 Girls Government schools.

Though the decision of shifting male teachers from Girls Government Schools has been taken by the Education Minister Education Minister Maluka after some complaints from Girls against male teachers but it can create controversy implying that the Education Department has expressed its inability to ensure security of Girls students in schools. Some educationists describe it as an unwise step as some other stringent measures could have been taken to curb such unhealthy practices of harassment of Girl students.
