Pending demands:150 computer teachers go on hunger strike

Chandigarh, December 25
Over 150 computer teachers and data entry operators went on a hunger strike at Masjid Ground in Sector 20 here today. The teachers, under the UT Cadre Educational Employee Union, demanded regularisation of the computer teachers, working under the PICTS society, in accordance of a letter put forward by the Punjab Government.


According to Swam Singh Kamboj, president of the association, protesters will put an end to the stir only when the UT Education Department accepts their demands of the regularisation of the computer teachers . “We will stop the hunger strike only if our demands are met,” said Kamboj
