All set for TET on December 28, says Maluka

Chandigarh The Punjab Education Department has made comprehensive arrangements for conducting the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) on December 28, in which more than 2 lakh candidates are scheduled to appear at 418 centres set up across the state. Disclosing this, here on Monday, Education Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka informed that the responsibility for conducting this test has been entrusted to SCERT and 36 nodal
centres have been set up at district as well as some sub-division levels to facilitate the candidates. He said that a total of 2,01,440 candidates would appear for the test. The timings for the first and second tests would be from 10 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 4.30 pm, respectively. The differently-abled students would get an additional time of 20 minutes for each paper. A special centre has been set up for such candidates at each nodal centre, he informed. The Education Minister stated that the department was committed to conduct this test in a total transparent manner and adequate number of flying squads has also been constituted. Besides, the Deputy Commissioners have also been asked to monitor this whole exercise.
