CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government has put a ban on the transfers and postings for the year 2013-14 and orders in this regard have been issued.Disclosing this here today Official Spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that time period for routine transfers in the state was from 1st August, 2013 to 31st August, 2013 and now as per policy there is

He said that midterm transfers/postings in special cases should be done considering the instructions of the transfer policy and with the prior permission of the Chief Minister. The Spokesperson said that written instructions regarding this has been sent to the heads of all the departments, Divisional Commissioners and Sub Divisional Magistrates (Civil), and chairmen of all the corporations and boards and Managing Directors.
