Newly recruited PCS officers likely to be given postings in Punjab within one month

Chandigarh, November 27: The Punjab Govt. has started the process of giving postings to newly recruited PCS and allied services officers by the Punjab Public Service Commission. The PPSC has already sent the list of 160 successful candidates to the personnel department of the Punjab Government. According to official sources
the personnel branch at the Punjab Civil Secretariat has initiated the cross check of academic profile and other information based on the documents submitted by candidates while applying for the post to the PPSC. The file after scrutiny of the candidates for all aspects will be submitted to the Chief Minister for final nod. After CMO clears the file the medical tests and verification of the candidates will be got done as per laid down procedure. The next step will be the seeking of the candidates for giving preference to the jobs in different cadres as per advertisement by the PPSC. After following all these processes and procedures, the successful candidates will be given postings as per their preferences for choosing the cadres including PCS. The sources said that the selected officers will be put in place within one month as the government is already in short of PCS officers and allied services in different departments.....
