BC/OBC families of annual income of Rs. 6 lac debarred for reservation

Chandigarh, November 5: Government of India has amended the annual income limit parameters for the wards of BC/OBCs for claiming reservation. As per the new amendment BC/OBCs family having annual income of Rs. 6 lac or more would now be considered in the creamy layer
and would not be entitled for reservation. Disclosing this here today an official spokesman of the welfare department (reservation cell) Punjab government said that the income limit parameters have been raised from Rs. 4.5 lac to Rs. 6 lac per annum.
