NET candidates' grievance will be redressed: UGC

Kochi, October 26, 2013: The UGC has asked the candidates who have grievances about the answer keys of National Eligibility Test (NET) held in June 2012 and December 2012 to approach the commission within a month for the
redressal of the same. As per a notification issued on October 21, 201, the UGC has said that the candidates concerned may send their requests to the Head, UGC NET Bureau, South Campus University of Delhi, Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi-110021 supporting their stand with proof from standard books/literature along with a Demand Draft of Rs.5,000/- in favour of Secretary, UGC within one month from the date of issue of this notification. It may be noted that after the declaration of result of UGC-NET Examinations held in June, 2012 and December, 2012, some candidates missing their JRF and eligibility for Lectureship with a narrow margin had expressed their grievances with regard to a few answer key(s) in their subject and requested the UGC to re-examine these answer keys. The UGC has been uploading answer keys of all the papers since June 2012 on its website in order to bring transparency in the system apart from inviting online feedback from the candidates regarding the questions and the keys. On receipt of the feedback, the meetings of subject experts are being arranged for re-examination of the questions and the keys. The UGC usually declares the result after these experts revise the answer key wherever required, the notification said.
