Punjab Cabinet to meet on October 3

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Cabinet will meet here on October 3 to finalize, among other things, the schedule of the next session of the state assembly.
The Budget session of the state assembly concluded in May this year. Under the Constitution, the state legislature has to meet at least once in six months to transact important government business. Therefore, the session will have to
be called either towards the end of October or in the beginning of November.
Although no agenda has been finalized for the Cabinet meeting, yet the state’s precarious financial situation is also expected to come up for discussion.
