Docsfed sore over delay in release of DA
Patiala: Strongly condemning the delay in the release of January, 2013, instalment of the dearness allowance (DA) instalment and payment of the arrears of third instalment of the Pay Commission 2006 report, by the bankrupt Punjab government, to its employees and pensioners, the Doctors Federation of India (Docsfed) has demanded immediate release of January, 2013 instalment of DA and arrears of the revised pay fixations due in May, 2013. Docsfed president and General Secretary of PCMS-I Association Dr D C Sharma said that it was deplorable that the one of the most prosperous states like Punjab, had been denying the due to its employees even when the state claims to be financially sound, and spending hundreds of crores of rupees for the purchase of new aeroplanes, helicopters and cars for the ministers and luxuries of the bureaucrats. Exhorting the various Trade Unions and Associations of employees and pensioners in Punjab, the Docsfed chief stressed that the dearness allowance of the employees and pensioners of Punjab government, was permanently linked with the Union government.
