In a flip-flop, the UT Administration today declared January 7 as a public holiday in the UT on account of the birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh.
Earlier, the UT had cancelled the public holiday on January 5 to mark the birth anniversary.
The Chandigarh Samuh Gurdwara Parbandhak Sangathan, which manages 45 gurdwaras, including the prominent ones in Sectors 8 and 34, decided to celebrate the birth anniversary on January 7.
