DA FROM JANUARY 2015 WILL BE 113% – AICPI-IW FOR NOVEMBER 2014

All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AICPI-IW) is at 253 for the past 4 months from August 2014 to November 2014.

This trend is in line with Scenario 1 discussed in our earlier article on estimation of Central Government Employees DA from January 2015. While we have Actual AICPI for November 2014 now, which is exactly the same as in Scenario 1, even for increase of this index up to 262 in December 2014, DA from January 2015 will be 113%

Holiday in UT on Jan 7

Chandigarh, January 1
In a flip-flop, the UT Administration today declared January 7 as a public holiday in the UT on account of the birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh.
Earlier, the UT had cancelled the public holiday on January 5 to mark the birth anniversary.

Govt to build 6 more schools for meritorious poor students

Amritsar, January 1
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal here today said the SAD-BJP Government would open six new schools for students belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS) who secured 80 per cent marks in Class X in government schools.
Badal said the government’s thrust was on providing quality education to the poor children.
